For Every Stage Of Life

We have you covered in every stage of life

All parents know that children live very active and energetic lives. Injuries and accidents occur daily as they bounce around all day. Chiropractic can help keep them healthy and injury free as well as avoid chemical imbalances as their bodies grow and change. You take your children to the dentist to have their teeth checked. Chiropractic visits to check the function of their body should be just as important!

During your teens and 20’s, the body is usually flexible and strong. Very little sleep is needed to function from day to day.

So why would you need chiropractic, right?

  • Text neck: Improperly staring at your phone or laptop creates muscle strain and pain in the neck and shoulder
  • Sport’s injuries: A lot of sport’s injuries are related to soft tissue strain. Chiropractors are an excellent option for quicker healing
  • Sport’s performance: Chiropractic can increase mobility and strength
  • Preventative purposes: to set you up for a healthy and long life

When your 30’s hit, you may start noticing your body experiencing more aches and pains. As the body ages, exercise is important, and chiropractic can help you enjoy it. Your emotional and physical well being can benefit from regular chiropractic care. Helping you thrive and meet each hurdle with energy and optimism, as well as living a pain free adulthood.

For seniors, chiropractic improves range of motion and helps increase balance and coordination.

No matter what stage of life you are in, chiropractic care will only enhance it

PREGNANCY

Why Would You Need Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy?

Pregnancy can bring on physical stress and discomfort. It’s common for pregnant women to visit a chiropractor for relief of low back pain, sciatica, leg cramps, and even constipation.

As the baby is growing, a mother’s center of gravity usually shifts toward the front of the pelvis, which creates discomfort in the low back and joints. The extra weight that an expecting mother carries can increase the curve of the lower back. This curve often leads to a compressed spine and irritated nerves…and that’s when the pain begins to radiate.

Chiropractic adjustments are a safe and effective treatment during pregnancy.  At your first visit, one of our chiropractors will sit with you and discuss the best treatment for your discomfort as well as how they can help prepare your body throughout your pregnancy and childbirth.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy

  • Less back pain
  • Reduced need for over-the-counter medicines
  • Restoration of proper pelvic alignment and balance
  • Optimal fetal position in the womb
  • Shorter labor times
  • Less pain during delivery

Postpartum Chiropractic Care

For new moms, chiropractic can help in the postpartum healing process by correcting misalignments that occurred during labor and delivery. Adjustments are also essential in correcting posture and relieving back pain resulting from breastfeeding and carrying your newborn

child being massaged

Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic for Newborns

For infants, entering the world is a traumatic event for their little bodies.  Gentle manipulations will help ease nerve dysfunction, which can lead to digestive issues such as colic, constipation, and reflux, as well as aid with breathing and sleeping difficulties.

Newborns often have trouble latching on as they learn to breastfeed. A chiropractor will check their rooting reflex, jaw alignment, and range of motion in the neck to allow for more balanced nursing on both sides.

Holding their head up, sitting up, rolling over, crawling, and walking force an infant to use their bodies in new ways. Misalignments of their spine can occur during this learning, as they move and fall frequently.  Many of our patients have shared with us that the chiropractic adjustments their infant received has been helpful for colic, ear infections, constipation, and better sleep.

Infant adjustments are gently done with the same pressure you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato.  Our doctors use the Activator Methods® Adjusting Instrument, which is a handheld spring-loaded tool that delivers a consistent low-force, high-speed thrust. Infants do not receive the typical adjustments associated with adults.

Colic usually appears in an infant between 3-6 weeks after birth. The infant cries an unusual amount and may draw their arms and legs toward their bodies. It’s unknown what specifically causes colic in an infant, but there are many things that likely contribute to it. Sensitivity to foods the nursing mother is eating, an immature or irritated nervous system,  and gastrointestinal upset are a few. In the first four months of life, when colic is an issue, it can be life changing to seek chiropractic treatment for your infant. Any vertebral subluxation that causes a disturbance to the nerves in the stomach or intestines, could affect gastric function.  A chiropractor can help restore normal function in an infant’s nervous system, allowing the signals from the brain to run correctly.

Ear Infections affect almost half of all infants before they reach their first birthday.  Chiropractors know where to gently adjust the child to help release the fluids in the ears. By using chiropractic as the course of treatment for your child’s ear infection, you will be strengthening their immune system. The need for antibiotics will decrease and hopefully end completely.

Chiropractic for Toddlers

Toddlers don’t complain about chronic pain like adults do, and the way they bounce back from injury is amazing.  The truth is though, their bodies are under a lot of stress while they are developing. Toddlers twist, strain, and fall as they learn to crawl and walk. They recover quickly, but the repetitveness of these actions can cause a pattern of movement that could cause permanent misalignments in their growing bodies.

What Can Chiropractic for Toddlers Help With?

  • Allergies/Asthma
  • Constipation
  • Bedwetting
  • Digestion
  • Ear Infections
  • Growing Pains
  • Headaches
  • Immune Support

Adulthood

Chiropractic for the middle age

Through our teens and twenties, we are relatively healthy. Our bodies are strong and flexible and we can survive on little sleep.  We also, however, learn behaviors that can affect our health in the future.

  • Text Neck: staring down at electronic devices causes neck and back pain as well as poor posture over time
  • Sports: As our bodies age, it becomes harder to bounce back from sports related injuries
  • Healthy lifestyle: Instead of going to your primary for over the counter help with pain, a chiropractor can help you find the root of your issue and encourage you on a path of wellness, allowing your body to do the healing itself.

The 30’s and 40’s often bring with them an awareness that your body is growing older. Pain is more common and muscle weakness is real. Chiropractic care not only helps alleviate pain, but also encourages flexibility and mobility.  When your body feels good, it’s a lot easier and more enjoyable to exercise, which is so important during these years.  The older we get, the more stressful and repetitive our lives become. Some of us sit at desks or behind a wheel for eight hours a day and others strain their bodies with manual labor. The reality is that our bodies experience more stress as we age.

Chiropractic can help with: Stress, Back Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Neck Pain, Joint Pain, Muscle Pain, Headaches, Infertility, Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia, Sciatica, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and more

Elderly

Chiropractic for the old

Regular chiropractic care increases the quality of life, health, and well being, as well as decreases spinal

degeneration and other arthritic changes.  As our bodies age, often we experience a decrease in mobility, balance, coordination, and strength. Keeping our spines in alignment is a safe and effective treatment that provides numerous benefits to our aging bodies.

  • Increase in balance and coordination. When our bodies are younger, we can rely on our strong muscles and quick reflexes to regain balance and heal quickly. As we age, this is no longer the case, however.
  • Increase mobility and prevent degeneration of joints.  Mobility allows us to continue to take part in life. Hobbies and activities improve our quality of life, allowing us to enjoy independent living.

Medications mask our symptoms and give temporary relief. Let chiropractic change your life by treating the root cause of your symptoms, where your over all health and wellness lies.
